Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is offering a PD&C intern position to learn the many aspects of the business from multiple viewpoints, including furniture planning, space and occupancy studies, and exposure to small construction projects. The role provides a broad learning experience within a leading pediatric hospital environment.

College students with at least two years in health sciences or related fields will gain hands-on experience, contributing to project management, move logistics,

Competenze

• Research experience through internship, work experience, or coursework.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is useful.
• Knowledge of basic statistical software useful.

Mansioni

• Project/position description:
• Project management oversite for furniture reconfigurations, installations, etc.
• Project management oversite for furniture service repairs and implementation
• Coordinating Move Logistics – developing move packets, move schedules, coordinating movers, overseeing small moves
• Space audits – AMBH, ST, SUP, CAP, SR – data collection and data entry into the Space Management System
• Exposure to Small Construction Projects
• Develops and implements projects as assigned, which could include events, activities, programs, or research studies.
• Creates and carries out a cohesive plan for each assigned project. Establishes and maintains contact with all appropriate individuals to ensure that the plan is implemented in the best interest of the organization.
• Executes administrative and operational tasks for assigned projects.
• Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided and projects produced.
• Understands and complies with infection control, safety, and OSHA procedures and regulations, while meeting all in-service requirements as outlined per policy.
