Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an RN leader to supervise unit scheduling, staff development, and patient flow with a focus on high-quality care and teamwork.

  • Prepares monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all scheduled and add-on cases.
  • Assists with performance appraisals, corrective actions, and employee counseling.
  • Provides required documentation for personnel files in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes time effectively and accomplishes duties within required timeframes with minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person and by telephone.
  • Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
  • Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
  • Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
  • Monitors staff compliance with customer service behaviors and reinforces hospital goals for service management.
  • Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance.
  • Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policies for admission, discharge, and transfer.
  • Assists the Nurse Leader or designee with updates and maintenance of unit records, reports, and forms.

Job Description:

Education
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience
  • 1+ year of experience as an RN in critical care or a relevant specialty area [Preferred]
  • 1+ year of leadership experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification [Required]

Pay Range: $34.32 - $63.84
