Job summary

The PCU Nurse role at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE involves caring for critically ill patients, monitoring conditions, administering medications, and executing physician orders on a 49-bed unit with telemetry.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license that allows practice in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 5 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and nursing team to devise and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation.
• Educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits, while fostering a supportive and compassionate environment.
• We care for patients on a 49-bed PCU unit with telemetry and strive for high-quality, compassionate nursing care.
