Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You control your schedule and may work as little as one shift per month, with options for daily or weekly pay.

Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Required: Virginia RN license, BLS/ACLS current, and vaccinations or approved exemptions. Per diem pay is competitive and shifts are hospital-based with a local responsive team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license; PCU nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS current through the AHA.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption as required.
• Additional facility credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in acute-care settings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.

Education

Virginia RN License

2 years PCU experience (past 4 years)

BLS Current (AHA)

ACLS Current (AHA)

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current

COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
