First Choice Nurses is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. You can pick up shifts or build a fuller schedule, choosing when you work.

Per diem roles offer flexibility in a leading acute care environment. As a PCU RN, you will deliver safe, high-quality care, monitor patients, administer meds, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required depending on hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other PCU-specific equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards and patient safety guidelines.
