HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, FL is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under medical oversight, coordinating perioperative nursing from pre-op to post-op stages.

You will assess patients, perform orders, document care, administer medications, and stay up-to-date on cardiac and med-surg practices. Bring ADN, RN license, ACLS/BLS within 30 days, and one year of experience.

Qualifications

• RN license and ADN required.
• ACLS and BLS must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• 1 year of applicable clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Document care in the patient record accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• 1 year of applicable experience
