Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City seeks a dedicated RN for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this high-acuity, fast-paced setting, you will provide complex, evidence-based care to patients transitioning from ICU or at risk for deterioration, including cardiac, post-surgical, and multi-system cases.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, telemetry monitoring, titration of IV medications, and care coordination, with patient and family education.

Qualifications

• RN for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a teaching hospital.
• Care for high-acuity cardiac, post-surgical and multi-system patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex, evidence-based nursing care to PCU patients.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and telemetry monitoring.
• Titrate IV medications and coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a teaching hospital.
• Participate in orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing professional development.
