Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for the PCU 5: Neuro / Transplant unit. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care on day shift.

The role requires NJ RN license and an Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred). 0-1 years' experience is expected, with 2-4 years preferred. Comprehensive benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• NJ RN License; Refer to Nursing Administrative Manual policy.
• 0-1 years' experience required, 2-4 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in the performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
