Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a PCT Apprenticeship Program Educator to lead and evaluate the PCT apprentice and preceptor education program in New Jersey. You will coordinate with Nursing Leadership and HR to align schedules, resources, and competency validation, ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a BSN and at least two years of acute care nursing, with prior teaching experience and strong clinical competencies. A comprehensive benefits package is provided to support staff.

Qualifications

• BSN.
• Minimum of two years' nursing experience in acute care setting.
• Maintains clinical competencies in area of specialty and demonstrates expertise in knowledge of scope of practice of Nursing Support Staff.
• Prior experience in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Creates, monitors, delivers, assesses, and evaluates PCT Apprentice and PCT Preceptor education. Ensures education and competencies are appropriate and meeting regulatory requirements and HMH needs.
• Coordinates with Nursing Leadership, Clinical Nurse Education Specialists and program leadership to ensure skill needs are met and new needed skills/competencies are taught and validated.
• Remediates unsuccessful candidates/students as appropriate, continually focusing on the safe delivery of appropriate patient care.
• Ensures physical resources are available and appropriate for education/training.
• Adheres to standardized curriculum to ensure the integrity of the education/training and integrity of the program.
• Coordinates with candidates/students, leadership, and human resources to ensure the class schedules are publicized, appropriate, and consistent with program goals.
• Develops, analyzes and reports on relevant data and metrics; implements actions or process improvements.
