Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary for the Acute Rehab unit. This full-time, night-shift role supports nursing staff and provides basic patient care as needed.

Under RN supervision, you will collect and report information and complete patient care documentation. Requires CNA, EMT, or nursing program coursework, and California nursing assistant or EMT license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of CNA program, or first semester nursing program, or EMT program.
• CA Nursing Assistant Certification License or CA EMT License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Experience with basic data entry.

Responsabilités

PCT - Acute Rehab at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 12-hour, Night shifts.

Under general supervision by the RN, the dual role Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary provides nursing staff with clerical support to assist in facilitating patient care and is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area. The Patient Care Tech/Secretary is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training For hires after 10/31/16:
• Completion of a CNA program, Or
• Completion of first semester nursing program, Or
• EMT program completion.
• Upon hire: California Nursing Assistant Certification License Or
• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Experience with basic data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course. Or Knowledge of medical terminology.
• 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or
• 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support related to Provider, patient documentation or charting.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
