Insight Global is seeking a Lab Scientist to join their Bioanalytical Discovery & Development Sciences team in Spring House, PA. The role focuses on immunogenicity assessment and PCR assay development throughout life cycle activities.

Qualifications

Job description

Our large pharmaceutical client is seeking a Lab Scientist to join their growing Bioanalytical Discovery & Development Sciences team in Spring House, PA. This Scientist will work as part of the immunogenicity assessment team to support all validation and life cycle activities of PCR assays for the development of biological drugs. Responsibilities include:

• Development and optimization of qPCR and RT-qPCR assays.
• Perform validations for qPCR and RT-qPCR assays in compliance with SOPs, safety procedures, and federal GLP/GCP guidelines.
• Processing of samples for DNA/RNA extraction from tissues and various matrices, DNA/RNA quantification, qPCR setup with precise manual pipetting skills and/or automated plate set up.
• Bioanalysis of non-clinical and clinical samples.
• Data analysis, Documentation and reporting -- ELNs, LIMS etc.

Required Skills + Experience

• Able and willing to work onsite in Spring House, PA 5 days per week for the entire duration of the 2+ year-long contract assignment.
• Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience in biochemistry, biophysics, immunology, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, or a related field. Please no PhDs or HS Diplomas at this time.
• Experience with PCR/Molecular Biology.
• Highly organized, independent, and detail oriented.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects, willing to learn new techniques, have great time management and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills + Experience

• Experience supporting gene and cell therapy - CAR T cell therapies.
• Understanding of GLP regulations related to assay validation and sample analysis.
• Experience with digital PCR and instrument automation.
• Experience with electronic lab notebooks and reagent management.

Compensation

$70,000 to $90,000 annually. Paid on hourly basis; guaranteed 40 hours per week. Intended to be a multi-year W2 contract; opportunity for permanent conversion and/or extensions year over year. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits.
