Job summary

GKN Aerospace seeks a Program Management & Commercial (PM&C) leader to drive governance, standard methodologies, and transparent reporting across the Civil Aerostructures business line. You will define and deploy best practices, and embed robust processes globally.

You\'ll coach teams, influence cross-functional partners, and support the maturation of the PMC organization with centralized knowledge resources and effective templates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field, or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and train teams.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with program and commercial processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides functional leadership to PM&C teams across the global Civil Aerostructures business.
  • Defines and deploys best practices to ensure consistency and excellence in PM&C activities.
  • Drives adherence to standards and governance through robust processes.
  • Offers coaching and guidance to PM&C staff worldwide to enable success.
  • Supports Talent Review from a PM&C perspective to ensure resourcing and capability.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to design tools and templates that enhance PM&C processes.

Job Summary
  • Ensures that the areas of Program Management and Commercial Management across the Business Line operate in a compliant and best practice manner by:
  • defining, developing, maintaining and driving adherence to standard, best practice methodologies, processes and tools
  • ensuring adherence to corporate and regulatory governance
  • ensuring consistent and transparent reporting across the Business Line program portfolio
  • Provide decision support information and support the development of a mature Programme Management and Commercial (PMC) organization.
Job Responsibilities

  • Driving adherence to standards and governance through the development and embedding of robust processes.
  • Offering professional support, coaching, and functional guidance to PM&C staff worldwide to enable their success.
  • Supporting the Talent Review process from a PM&C perspective to ensure the right resources, skills, and capabilities are in place to deliver functional and business strategies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement effective tools and templates that enhance PM&C processes.
  • Identifying training needs and overseeing deployment of relevant courses across the global Civil Aerostructures business.
  • Maintaining accessibility to a centralized knowledge base for program management, commercial practices, and compliance risk management.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient and experienced in GKN Aerospace program and commercial processes, standards, and best practices
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train team members to build capability and confidence
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Proven experience in influencing and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or 3–5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced in leading within a matrix organization, with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and empower teams
  • Certified to IPMA Level C or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in commercial roles, including contract management, proposal management, business modelling, and estimating
  • Demonstrated success in managing significant programs or large teams at both tactical and strategic levels
