Job summary

USM Business Systems is seeking a highly skilled Java expert to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Cloud Foundry. The role focuses on building distributed microservices, leveraging Spring Boot, and delivering enterprise-scale Java solutions in an Agile environment.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams, participate in architecture decisions, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Developed and deployed applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry and/or Cloud Foundry (open source PCF).
• Experience building distributed / service oriented / microservice-style and cloud based architectures.
• You are a Java expert, with experience and familiarity building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot.
• Experience building enterprise applications.
• You are an Agile practitioner, familiar with extreme programming, test driven development, pairing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and related techniques.
• Experience with Cloud Foundry.

Job Description

• Developed and deployed applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry and/or Cloud Foundry (open source PCF)
• Deployed, setup and configured Pivotal Cloud Foundry and/or Cloud Foundry (open source PCF)
• Great written and verbal communicator, capable of public speaking and presenting in front of customers at various levels
• Comfortable in new situations with new clients
• Experience building distributed / service oriented / microservice-style and cloud based architectures
• Have an understanding of - or implementation experience in - building Twelve-Factor applications, and using Domain Driven Design
• Experience with Cloud Foundry
• You are a Java expert, with experience and familiarity building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot; you have a strong background with Spring and related projects
• Experience building enterprise applications
• You are an Agile practitioner, familiar with extreme programming, test driven development, pairing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and related techniques

Preferred Skills

• You are a polyglot programmer (you might have used JavaEE, C#, Go, etc.)
• Experience integrating with Netflix Open Source Platform components (Eureka, Hystrix, Ribbon, etc.)
• Experience with Service-oriented architectures (Java or .NET)
• Understanding of networking, including the structure and function of the TCP/IP stack and how to debug networking problems
• Strong debugging skills - especially in context of distributed architectures
