Job summary

Specialty Minerals Inc., a Minerals Technologies company, is seeking a Packaging Technician to safely package PCC products to customer specs. The role operates packaging equipment, conducts inspections, loads shipments, and maintains documentation at the Adams, MA facility.

The position requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and up-to-date safety practices. Training will cover forklift operation, safety procedures, and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing/packaging/shipping experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic math and English; ability to read and follow manuals.

Responsibilities

• Follow startup/shutdown procedures for packaging equipment.
• Perform pre-operational and safety inspections per MSHA requirements.
• Operate, monitor, calibrate, and adjust equipment per QA plans.
• Utilize Honeywell and similar control systems to optimize flow and production.
• Perform product changeovers and routine lubrication and minor repairs.
