Evolving Solution Services in Seymour, CT is seeking a Quality Engineer Leader- PCB SME responsible for ensuring that printed circuit boards meet internal specs, industry standards, and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

This role blends deep PCB technical knowledge with hands-on quality engineering to drive defect prevention and continuous improvement across design, fabrication, and assembly.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, materials, or related field; or equivalent PCB/PCBA experience.
• 10+ years in PCB manufacturing, quality engineering, or technical QA.
• Strong knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes (etching, lamination, solder mask, SMT, through-hole).
• Familiarity with IPC A 600/610 and IPC 6012 standards; ability to lead root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Ability to read schematics, fabrication drawings, and Gerber/ODB++ files; strong communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Own quality for PCB and PCBA across design, fabrication, and assembly.
• Define incoming inspection criteria using IPC-based standards and sampling plans.
• Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection instructions, and control plans.
• Review MRB, lead 8D/RCCA/CAPA activities, and drive preventive actions.
• Mentor quality engineers and inspectors; grow team technical knowledge.
• Act as PCB authority on stack ups, materials, finishes, and manufacturability.
• Review Gerber/ODB++ and fabrication drawings for design intent alignment.
• Support design and NPI teams by identifying PCB quality risks early.
• Qualify and monitor PCB suppliers; coordinate FAI, CoC, and FAIR.
• Issue SCARs and drive supplier performance improvements; analyze yield and defects.
