Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an experienced PCB Layout Designer to own the PCB lifecycle across multiple hardware programs. You will apply high-reliability design standards, work with engineers, and maintain Altium-based libraries, ensuring manufacturability and DFM compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in PCB Layout or Design.
  • Full understanding of PCB Layout techniques to meet mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices appropriate for each design.
  • Ability to determine work priorities based on broad direction from management.
  • Expertise in applying relevant IPC standards, CID, CID+ certification.
  • Experience using Altium Designer CAD tools.
  • Experience with developing component libraries and library management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to work within our company and team culture.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with engineers to produce printed circuit board designs supporting all Anduril's products.
  • Apply modern design standards and guidelines to create high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies.
  • Implement combinations of high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power designs.
  • Work with team to refine internal guidelines for design for manufacturing (DFM) and quality fabrication and assembly outputs.
  • Contribute to team processes for PCB design, part creation, and library/database standards.
  • Aid with part library creation and management.
  • Review and critique layouts before final delivery.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, having to juggle multiple concurrent projects and customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Anduril is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Designer based in Costa Mesa, CA. This individual will contribute to develop next generation of hardware for our various product lines. The ideal candidate will have a high degree ownership of PCB lifecycles and will sustain the necessary changes to the layout designs. Extensive Altium experience will be a key, in additional to having excellent communication and documentation skills. They will work on multiple projects simultaneously and will need to ensure commitment dates at met without affecting quality and to meet commitment dates.

US Salary Range

$132,000 - $198,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
