Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global PCB manufacturer seeking an Electrical Test Failure Analysis Technician to diagnose defects on bare PCBs. You will work with DMMs, TDRs, and microscopes to pinpoint root causes and prevent production issues.

The role bridges testing and quality engineering, collaborating with CAM, process engineering, and fabrication to report trends and ensure reliability in aerospace and defense contexts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field preferred.
• 2+ years electronics testing experience with failure analysis.
• Deep understanding of PCB construction, nets, IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-9252).
• Proficient with bench diagnostic tools and testing software.

Responsibilities

• Lead failure diagnostics on rejected bare boards by isolating electrical faults.
• Perform root-cause analysis using DMMs, micro-ohmmeters, and TDR testers.
• Coordinate micro-sectioning to confirm copper defects, plating voids, or registration issues.
• Provide feedback to CAM, process engineering, and fabrication to address defect trends.
• Run secondary verification with flying probe testers after rework or modifications.
• Document comprehensive failure analysis reports with traceability for high-reliability sectors.
