Job summary

Advanced Motion Controls seeks a PCB Design Engineer to own layout for new and existing products at our Camarillo, CA facility. You will work with electronics, embedded software, mechanical, manufacturing, test, and quality engineers to deliver state‑of‑the‑art servo amplifiers with integrated power electronics and mixed‑signal circuitry.

The role requires 3+ years in PCB design, strong schematic and layout skills, and a commitment to manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional PCB design and layout experience.
• Experience designing multilayer PCBs with high‑speed digital, analog, mixed‑signal circuitry.
• Ability to read, create, and modify electrical schematics and understand component functions.
• Working knowledge of PCB fabrication, DFM/DFT, and design‑for‑test practices.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to PCB design and layout activities for new product development and sustaining engineering.
• Create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, drawings, and data for multilayer boards.
• Translate electrical, mechanical, and EMC requirements into practical PCB designs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop reliable PCB assemblies.
• Support circuit documentation, component selection, design changes, and prototype builds.
• Create and validate CAD libraries, schematic symbols, footprints, and templates.
• Maintain controlled design files for active products and configurations.
• Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, thermal performance, and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Coordinate design releases with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Additional duties as assigned.
