Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Brookfield, WI is seeking a talented PCB Design Engineer to join our product development team. The role blends hands-on PCB layout with system-level electrical design responsibilities, with emphasis on manufacturability and high-performance PCB assemblies.

The candidate will work with Altium Designer to layout, route, and document PCBAs for AC/DC applications, and will present designs during reviews while adhering to internal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (BSEE or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB design and layout.
• Proficiency with professional-grade PCB design tools, with a strong preference for Altium Designer.
• Solid understanding of electronic components and circuit behavior.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to develop PCBAs for both AC and DC applications across new and legacy product lines.
• Execute layout tasks including board sizing, component placement, signal routing, and power/ground plane design, all optimized for cost, manufacturability, thermal performance, and testability.
• Apply and refine design rules for each project, resolving constraint violations and ensuring compliance with internal standards.
• Present PCB designs during technical reviews and generate documentation packages aligned with internal engineering protocols.
