Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking an AOI/AXI Operator to verify PCB assemblies meet quality standards. You will operate, program, and maintain AOI/AXI systems, conduct first article verifications, and escalate defects in a fast-paced production environment.

You will review documentation, verify solder joints, component alignment, and hidden connections, and ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 Class 2/3 and customer requirements. Attention to detail and IPC knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience with AOI/AXI equipment and PCB inspection processes
• Strong knowledge of IPC standards and quality procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and decision-making in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Review MPI, Deviations, ECOs and Customer Requirements prior to inspection.
• Operate and set up AOI and AXI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies.
• Perform First Article Inspections and verify IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3 compliance.
• Analyze inspection data and images to identify, classify and disposition defects.
• Verify solder joint quality, component alignment, polarity, and hidden connections (BGAs, QFNs).
• Stop production and escalate defects as needed.
