Qualifications

• Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Education: Completion of Medical Terminology course required
• Required Certifications: Current licensure/certification as applicable; CPR
• Preferred Certifications: CNA, Patient Care Tech or equivalent program, or currently enrolled in accredited nursing program
• Required Experience: 1-2 years experience in direct patient care

• The Unit Clerk is the primary receptionist for the inpatient unit and provides clerical support to the care team including typing, word processing, transcribing physician orders, and ordering supplies.
• Acts as liaison facilitating communication with or between other care providers and visitors directly or via telephone.
• The Nurse Tech provides high quality, direct patient care to an assigned group of patients and supports the mission: To Heal, To Educate, To Care.
• Daily activities include activities of daily living, simple treatments, telemetry setup, oxygen setup, and collaboration with the care team under supervision.

What You’ll Do

The Unit Clerk is the primary receptionist for the inpatient unit. This individual provides clerical support to the care team including typing, word processing, transcribing physician orders, and ordering supplies and acts as
liaison facilitating communication with or between other care providers and visitors directly or via telephone.
This position has limited patient contact, has access to confidential patient information and works collaboratively with the care team under the indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager. The Nurse Tech provides high quality, direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, while providing an atmosphere that supports our mission To Heal, To Educate, To Care. This includes, but is not limited to: activities of daily living, simple treatments/procedures, telemetry monitor set up, oxygen set up, etc. This individual works collaboratively with other care team members including the patient and family, and
participates in patient care to achieve conferences to achieve optimal outcomes. The Nurse Tech has access to confidential patient information, must communicate with all team members regarding care provided by them to
the assigned patient group and carries out daily activities under the direct supervision of a Staff Nurse, indirect
supervision of the Nurse Manager or Unit Director.

Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: Completion of Medical Terminology course required

Required Certifications, Current licensure/certification as applicable; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Preferred Certifications, Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.), Patient Care Tech. or equivalent program or currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing

Required Experience: 1-2 years experience in direct patient care
