Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the interdisciplinary health care team. The role involves 24-hour day/evening coverage every other weekend and every other holiday, with three 8-hour shifts. You will assist under an RN to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Preferred candidates hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS, with 1–2 years of healthcare experience. LNA credentials and NH board considerations are noted.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Job Summary

24 hour day/evening position every other weekend, every other holiday. Three 8 hour shifts.

Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred

Experience

Healthcare experience 1-2 years required

  • Ability to multitask and handle stress crisis situations effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Demonstrated typing skills and computer experience required.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self according to Safe Patient Handling Guidelines.
