Job summary

Patience In-Home Care PCA Services is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide 1:1 in-home care for a paraplegic client in Minnesota. The role includes lifting, transferring, showering and daily living tasks in a home setting.

You will support a paraplegic client with personal care, companionship and adherence to a care plan, including bowel program and mobility assistance, while maintaining a compassionate, respectful approach.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and ability to communicate clearly.
• Caring and compassionate attitude required.
• Ability to lift, turn, position and transfer patients.
• Proven working experience as Personal Care Assistant preferred.
• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home personal care for the client.
• Assist with showering, dressing and toileting.
• Perform bowel program as part of care plan.
• Assist with transfers and mobility as needed.
• Perform domestic and household tasks as required by the plan.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

• Providing 1:1 care in a loving home for a paraplegic woman that has 4 cats and 2 dogs

Description

• We are looking for a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide assistance for a woman that is a paraplegic. Experience in lifting, transferring, showering, toileting and bowel program in patient’s homes in accordance with an established care plan.

Responsibilities

Benefits:

• Base rate: $17-$17.50 per hour - Additional previous PCA experience for MA Programs ranges from 4.05% - 12.69% (Tier Scale) - Additional 7.5% bonus when online Enhanced Training Courses have been completed.
