Homewatch CareGivers of Shortpump/Midlothian is seeking Caregivers to join our growing team delivering compassionate in-home care in Shortpump, Midlothian and surrounding areas. You’ll provide companionship, daily living support, and light assistance with meals, mobility, and personal care under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• PCA/CNA certifications preferred or required as applicable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with clients and families.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with mobile devices and basic technology for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Assist with meals and dietary needs.
• Escort clients to appointments, activities, and errands.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment with light housekeeping.
• Document services provided and communicate with the care team.
• Assist with scheduling and data entry when workload allows.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisors.

About the Role:

Homewatch CareGivers is opening a new office in Glen Allen, Virginia and will be servicing Shortpump and Midlothian. We currently seek to fill Caregiver positions to drive sales, establish partnerships and build connections.

With 46 years in business, client satisfaction remains our top goal and we remain our commitment to provide kind and compassionate in-home care to individuals in need. Our high-quality care is individually tailored to the unique needs of our clients in their preferred surroundings.

Specific duties include:

PCA Duties

• Providing companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
• Preparing and serving meals, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Escorting clients to appointments, social activities, and errands as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks.
• Participating in training and professional development sessions as needed.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of services provided and communicating effectively with team members.
• Assisting with administrative tasks when caregiver work is light, including scheduling and data entry.
• Monitor and document changes in client condition and report to supervisors.

CNA Duties

• Assisting clients with ADL’s including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Assisting with basic health monitoring.
• Observing and reporting changes in clients' physical/emotional condition
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort.

Selected candidates must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR and First Aid certification required.
• PCA, CNA required applicable certifications.
• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients and families.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in using mobile devices and basic technology for communication.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Shortpump and Midlothian area.
