Job summary

Senior Helpers of Wilmington provides one-on-one in-home personal care to help clients stay safe and independent. We tailor care to the seniors you’ll care for and fit your area of expertise to their needs.

As a caregiver, you’ll have meaningful daily interactions, assist with meals and activities, and report on clients’ condition and progress to their families and care team.

Responsibilities

• Have conversations with clients to build relationships and provide companionship.
• Participate in clients’ hobbies and activities to support independence.

• Assist clients with walking, dressing and other activities of daily living.
• Report activities completed and provide updates on health and wellbeing.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrap-booking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
