Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or in progress.
• TB test must be current as part of health and safety standards.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Prepare meals according to clients' needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client's plan of care and task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly during emergencies and protect client privacy.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
