HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The ideal candidate for this position will provide software and workstation support in a multi-platform and operating systems: Windows, MAC, and Linux. Diagnoses and resolves highly complex technical problems with computer hardware, software, AV systems, and network printers including departmental computer labs. This position deploys University and College recommenced enterprise solutions to provide workstation support efficiently. Additionally, this position provides expert technical advice to a PC technical team, and oversees the delivery of workstation support services within the assigned departments.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the PC Systems Specialist, Lead are the following:
  • Hardware and software installation, upgrades and support including troubleshooting complex hardware and software problems; applies patches, upgrades, and maintenance to system security.
  • Responsible for the delivery of workstation support to the departments supported in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Deliver technical related presentations to other systems support personnel within the IT unit.
  • Partner with the security team to implement security policies and ensure all critical vulnerabilities are patched in a timely manner and all computers and network devices are compliant.
  • Maintain inventory and reporting of all end user computing assets.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other advanced level specialist duties as assigned.
