Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Planner to plan and control high complexity line scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient line design. You will coordinate tool configuration, capacity planning, and field support activities while collaborating with Product Support and R&D teams.

This role emphasizes solving problems with technical judgment, guiding new team members, and contributing to KPI improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and control high complexity manufacturing multiple line scheduling, considering business demands, manufacturing & material constrains.
  • Responsible for line OTD.
  • Own tool configuration & slotting. Responsible for NPMA (Non Pure Manufacturing Activities) approval and allocation.
  • Responsible for efficient line design in terms of: Responsiveness, Inventory & Linear work load
  • Control line's performances while driving for line KPIs improvement: OTD, EOP, CT, SOE
  • Control & support manufacturing capacity fulfillment. Manage training period allocation.
  • Plan Field Support Activities.
  • Be main contact to Product Support teams.
  • Plan Mfg. activities at the field.
  • Determine manufacturing needed capacity.
  • Manage retrofit projects.
  • Plan Home Tools support activities.
  • Manage R&D needs.
  • Be main contact to R&D teams.
  • Manage Option build plan cycle.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
