Job summary

Lifespark seeks an on-site PC Hardware Technician in Saint Louis Park, MN to troubleshoot, remediate, and document hardware. You will handle staging, installs, IT helpdesk support, and contribute to policy and best practices across hardware assets.

Responsibilities include building/repairing desktop hardware, maintaining asset records, imaging machines, and providing hardware-related user support. Requires 1 year of hardware experience and an A+ certification or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• A+ Certification (or willingness to learn).
• Technical support: 1 year preferred.
• At least 1 year of corporate hardware and asset management.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks according to SLAs.
• Strong problem solving for hardware related issues.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and training.
• Research hardware standards and vendor recommendations.
• Resolve tickets according to SLAs and escalate as needed.

Job description

We are seeking an on-site PC Hardware Technician who will handle hardware troubleshooting and remediation, policy and best practice identification and implementation, hardware documentation and training, hardware staging, handouts, and installs, assistance with Tech101 computer staging, and supporting the IT Helpdesk as needed.

Position: PC Hardware Technician

Salary: $40,000 - $46,000 annually, depending on experience

Service Area: Lifespark's Corporate Office, St. Louis Park 55416(this position is 100% in-office)

Schedule: Full - Time / Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with 1 hour lunch break

Position Functions & Responsibilities:

• PC Build / Repair - Installing desktop hardware, software and peripherals as needed
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, make formalized proposals, and engage in training and implementation
• Research and make recommendations on hardware standards (e.g. new phone or laptop models)
• Resolve tickets according to SLAs
• Prioritize and drive hardware escalations to resolution
• Accurately maintain tickets in a timely manner
• Deploy, maintain, and repair technology equipment (Win, Mac, IOS and Android based)
• Create and update documentation for all work aspects
• Perform helpdesk tasks and assist employees with any IT related issues related to hardware
• Image machines and handle device accounts in AD
• Complete warranty work on damaged equipment
• Ensure asset inventory records are updated in relation to ticket resolution
• Coordinate shipping/handling of hardware
• Provide hardware related customer service and troubleshooting support
• Manage building tech inventory and follow technology standards and practices.
• Aid IT Services Manager with various projects or tasks.
• Assist with hardware disposal
• Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Any ideal candidate will have…

• A+ Certification (or willingness to learn)
• Technical support: 1 years (Preferred)
• At least 1 year of corporate hardware and asset management
• Ability to independently prioritize and execute tasks according to SLA
• Ability to effectively prioritize escalations and daily workload
• Ability to problem solve technology related issues.
• Ability to identify and implement process procedures and documentation

Education

• Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
