Qualifications

Minimum Requirements upon hire:

• Minimum of 3 years of prior peace officer experience from a federal, state, county, or local law enforcement agency AND completion of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) academy, OR completion of a federal, state, county, or local law enforcement training academy with a verifiable certificate or transcript.
• Valid California State Guard card
• Exposed Firearm Permit
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Baton certification
• Demonstrate ability to read, write and converse clearly in English
• Satisfactory completion of initial drug test and criminal background check
