Job summary

Life Flight Network in Renton, WA seeks an experienced pilot for fixed-wing air medical transport. Must have 2,500+ hours as PIC, 1,000 hours in retractable gear, and turbine experience. Role includes flight planning, weather analysis, safety adherence, and patient transport across bases.

Qualifications require FAA ATP- SEL and current medical; PC-12 familiarity is preferred. Strong leadership and customer service are essential in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in aviation or related field preferred.
• Minimum six years of professional pilot experience; recent air-medical transport and mountain experience preferred.
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) — Single-Engine Land required; if not held at hire, added during initial-hire training or by first annual recurrent training; candidate pays ATP written; checkride covered by Life Flight Network.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed-wing aircraft safely to transport critically ill and injured patients.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections; plan flights and analyze weather.
• Load and secure patients, passengers, baggage, and cargo with care and efficiency.
• Maintain logs, records, and written reports to required standards.
• Uphold Life Flight Network's safety culture and SMS requirements.
• Report safety concerns and communicate risks to leadership.
• Participate in base upkeep, aircraft and hangar spaces cleaning.
• Demonstrate leadership, clear communication, and exceptional patient-service skills.
