Job summary

OUTRIGGER Resorts & Hotels in Lahaina is seeking a guest services associate to assist guests, manage the front desk phone system, and coordinate communications across departments. You’ll handle wake-up calls, guest inquiries, and message distribution while supporting administrative tasks as needed.

This role requires excellent communication, composure under pressure, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on a multi-line telephone system and route to the correct department.
• Handle guest wake-up requests and general guest inquiries.
• Provide courteous customer service for directions and information.
• Receive and distribute messages for guests and staff.
• Prepare amenity lists, manage key inventory, radio checks, and mail.
• Coordinate emergency communications with hotel staff via phone, radio, and email.
• Manage parking gate operations to assist guests entering and exiting.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain composure under pressure and deliver excellent service; flexible shifts.
• Must have strong communication skills and accommodate nights, weekends, holidays.

Exemplifies the image of “Aloha” while assisting guests in accordance with Outrigger policies and procedures. Must be able to operate a multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel, process guest requests for wake up calls, provide customer service regarding phone directions and inquiries, receives and distributes messages for hotel guests and personnel, prep guest amenity list, key inventory, radio checks, and sort internal mail. Coordinates all emergency communications with appropriate hotel personnel via telephone, radios, and email. Operate parking gates to assist hotel guests and patrons enter/exit the hotel property and parking structure. Assist with administrative tasks as needed. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and have excellent customer service skills. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be available to work various shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
