Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred.
  • Four years of payroll processing experience required.
  • Experience with multi-state or complex payroll environments preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience with ADP, Paycor, or similar systems.
  • CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle payroll using ADP Workforce, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance for accurate data flow in ADP.
  • Establish SOPs for payroll processing, reporting, and compliance.
  • Serve as SME on ADP for system guidance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Prepare recurring payroll reports, reconcile accounts, and conduct audits.
  • Oversee year-end ADP activities including W-2 processing and tax reconciliation.

Payroll Supervisor

Full Time Professional SES-S LA-Lafayette, Lafayette, LA, US

Summary

The Payroll Supervisor will oversee all payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role will supervise a small payroll team, collaborate closely with Human Resources/Finance, and support payroll reporting, audits, and process improvements.

**This role is expected to be onsite in our Lafayette, LA office.**

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle payroll process utilizing ADP Workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance .
  • Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance to ensure accurate cross-functional data flow in ADP platform.
  • Establishes standard operating procedures for payroll processing, reporting, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll inquiries from employees, HR, or Finance.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) on ADP – guiding system usage, troubleshooting, configuration support, and process optimization/automation.
  • Prepare recurring payroll reports, reconcile payroll accounts, and conduct payroll audits.
  • Review wage and tax data for accuracy and compliance throughout the calendar year.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Supports year-end ADP activities including W-2 processing, tax reconciliation, and system-driven audit reporting.
  • Stay informed of payroll legislation and best practices as well as identifying system enhancements/workflow upgrades to streamline operations withing ADP, Sage, and Workmax .
  • Oversees daily team operations, workload distribution, and payroll processing cycles withing ADP and Workmax .
  • Fosters a collaborative team culture committed to data integrity, continuous improvement, and strong system utilization .
  • Position will manage, train, and mentor a small payroll team fostering a positive and team centric culture.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred.
  • Four years of payroll processing experience required.
  • Experience with multi-state or complex payroll environments strongly preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience working in ADP, Paycor, or any similar system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive payroll and personal information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and running reports in ADP.
  • Experience in Sage and Workmax is helpful but not required .
  • CPP or FPC certification is a plus

Core days are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but hours are flexible and may extend outside of the core day with primary function being 100% completion of weekly billings . This position may require weekend and/or holiday work .
