Job summary

Allegiance Mobile Health is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage bi-weekly payroll for 500-700 hourly staff, ensuring accurate hours, deductions, and compliance across jurisdictions.

The role requires expertise in payroll systems, HRIS, and Excel, with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and timely responses to employee inquiries. Remote work is supported, with collaboration across HR and finance teams.

Qualifications

  • Two year degree in a related field or equivalent of 3 years of Payroll experience.
  • Payroll certification preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS utilization.
  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for ~500-700 hourly employees with accurate hours, overtime, and pay adjustments.
  • Review and validate timekeeping data; resolve discrepancies before payroll processing.
  • Calculate and process deductions, garnishments, and other withholdings per policy and law.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws across jurisdictions.
  • Process new hires, terminations, and status changes accurately.
  • Assist with integrating acquisitions into payroll systems (data mapping, setup, validation).
  • Coordinate with HR/onboarding for first payroll cycles for new acquisitions.
  • Audit payroll data prior to submission and correct errors.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain payroll records for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Process off-cycle payments and adjustments as needed.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end close.
  • Stay current on payroll regulations and tax changes, especially for new locations.
