Qualifications

• Progressive clerical or payroll experience is required.
• Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
• Proficiency with computers and payroll-related software.

Responsibilities

• Compile payroll data and employee information.
• Prepare input forms and enter wages/deductions.
• Review wages, correct errors, and update payroll records.
• Record changes for tax, insurance, and exemptions.
• Transfer employee data between departments when needed.
• Prorate expenses for cost accounting records.
• Prepare periodic earnings, taxes, and deduction reports.
• Maintain leave pay and nontaxable wage records.
• Prepare and issue paychecks.
