Job summary

RRM Design Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting team in a full-time role. You will handle payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensure prevailing wage compliance, and work closely with the Controller to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have at least four years of payroll experience, an Associate degree in Accounting, and strong MS Office and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processing payroll for multi-state company for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Processing prevailing wage payroll and related compliance paperwork.
• Reviewing timecards for accuracy and required approvals.
• Staying up to date on all payroll laws, including prevailing wage.
• Keeping up to date on all RRM policies that concern payroll and timekeeping.
• Reconciling all payroll records with accounting system and corresponding third party systems.
• Monthly/quarterly/annual reporting regarding employees and payroll.
• Responsible for payroll reporting in compliance with state and federal laws.

YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE:

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Minimum four (4) years of experience.
• Associates Degree in Accounting.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly analyze problems and respond with effective solutions.

ABOVE & BEYOND:

• Knowledge of Paylocity Software.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage.
• Experience using Unanet.

COMPENSATION:

The hiring range for this role is targeted at $29.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
