A growing financial services organization based in Fairfax County, VA is looking to add a strong Payroll Specialist to their team! This role is a long-term consulting opportunity with potential to convert in the future. They are looking for someone who can go into the office on a hybrid schedule (2x per week).

Key Responsibilities
  • Process biweekly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now (or relevant ADP platform).

  • Review and validate timekeeping data, deductions, bonuses, and commissions prior to each pay run.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records, employee tax information, and direct deposit setup.

  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for Finance, HR, and external auditors as needed.

  • Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate new hire, termination, and status change processing.

  • Manage year-end activities including W-2s, 1099s, and payroll tax filings.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and leave balances with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Support audits, benefits reconciliations, and other HR/Finance projects as required.
