Job summary

Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair is seeking a Payroll & Tax Specialist to manage day-to-day payroll, ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, and maintain complete payroll records. You will work with the Accounting Manager and the payroll processor to resolve questions and ensure timely filings.

  • Knowledge of payroll processes, payroll taxes, and related principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees.
  • Review timekeeping, hours, commissions, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll information for accuracy.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and process changes including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and direct deposits.
  • Work with employees and managers to resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the payroll processing company and submit required payroll information accurately and timely.
  • Prepare, file, and maintain required federal, state, and local payroll tax filings and payments.
  • Prepare and distribute year-end payroll documents, including W-2s and other required forms.
  • Monitor payroll tax notices and work with appropriate agencies or payroll providers to resolve issues.
  • Maintain organized payroll records and stay informed of applicable payroll tax requirements and regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare payroll reports and review records to identify and correct discrepancies.

About the role

Every paycheck represents someone’s hard work. The Payroll & Tax Specialist helps ensure our people are paid accurately, on time, and with the care and attention they deserve. This position manages the day-to-day payroll process, maintains accurate records, resolves payroll questions, and ensures payroll taxes and required filings are completed accurately and timely. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.


What you’ll do

Payroll


  • Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees.

  • Previous payroll experience required; payroll tax experience preferred.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating a proven track record in payroll.
