Highgate Hotels, LP is hiring a Payroll Specialist for our Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, HI. The role focuses on bi-weekly payroll processing across multiple properties and garnishment administration in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

With at least 2 years of payroll experience and familiarity with Dayforce, you will handle live and direct deposit reversals, tax basics, and related administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years payroll processing experience.
• Dayforce payroll systems are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication and organization skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and other programs.
• Extreme attention to detail, accuracy and data integrity are crucial to this role.
• Must have a sense of urgency and ability to work within a fast-paced mutli-task environment.

Responsibilities

• Processing bi-weekly payrolls for multiple properties.
• Responsible for administration of garnishments and tracking all returned or stopped garnishment payments.
• Responsible for live check reversals, direct deposit reversals, and tracking these through to completion.
• Must have the ability to research payroll or payroll related items with little direction and present finding to the group.
• Understand basic payroll tax as it relates to the employee's pay and their W2.
• Responsible for additional administrative duties as required.
• Must contribute to a positive team environment.
• Maintain an elevated level of confidentiality and must be trustworthy.

Overview

For Employees Based in Colorado:

• 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year


• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service


• 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

• 8 paid holidays per year


• Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.


• Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
