Payroll Specialist

Shift: 8am-5pm M-F. Monday and Friday are hybrid.

12+ Month Contract

Required Experience:

  • Process hourly and salaried payrolls for US and Canadian employee populations. Pay frequencies include weekly, bi-weekly, semimonthly, monthly, and special incentive payrolls assigned to multiple companies and locations.
  • Complete daily and weekly time analysis for each location. Download information from Workbrain and Kronos into Qlikview to model the current pay period. Analyze and research variances to ensure all hours are accurate. Work with locations to update or change time as needed.

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited university.
  • FPC, CPP, or equivalent certification and/or experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of full cycle payroll administration experience, including multiple provinces.
  • Experience with payroll systems such as PS & Kronos, Workforce Solutions (future).
  • Knowledge of payroll practices and HRIS systems like PeopleSoft.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, and Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Technical aptitude for learning new software systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reports, charts/graphs).
  • Ability to create and deliver training materials.
  • Self-motivated team player focused on customer satisfaction.
