Overview

Director of Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition — Job summary: Payroll processors work within Federated payroll department collecting our client’s employees’ payroll information to process and deliver paychecks. They’ll gather employees’ time sheets after each pay period and will verify that their payroll information and work hours are correct. Payroll processors use Paychex to input basic data into the payroll system. Payroll processors collaborate closely with clients to gather important payment information or to answer any questions regarding their paychecks. They will calculate payroll information such as taxes, deductions, bonuses, commissions and other payable hours, and investigate and resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies.

Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
  • Updating payroll records by entering changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
  • Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages
  • Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and workers’ compensation
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries
  • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
  • Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees
Working conditions

Work is performed primarily in an indoor office, free from extreme weather conditions. Work may include a moderate amount of noise (business office with computers, phone and printers).

Training, academic and experiential requirements
