Job summary

CEC Entertainment, LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a Payroll Operation Specialist to deliver accurate, timely payroll for approximately 13,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring proper data accuracy and compliance.

You will collaborate with a payroll team to review time and attendance, resolve issues before payroll runs, and support payroll communications and ad hoc projects. A high school diploma is required; CPP/FPC is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in payroll in an office environment working as part of a team in a large multi-state employer.
• Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Aloha Insight, NBO time and Wisely Pay-cards is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 13,000 employees across U.S. and Canada.
• Collaborate with Supervisor to review and resolve time and attendance interface issues before payroll is processed.
• Verify payments and prepare checks for distribution.
• Assist daily by mailing out on-demand checks ensuring accurate and timely delivery to employees.
• Assist stores with manually entering missed punches as needed.
• Notify Payroll Supervisor/Manager of unusual or suspicious activity.
• Assist with payroll email box and hotline responses and with special projects as needed.

Job Description

The Payroll Operation Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding support to all Chuck E Cheese and Peter Piper employees.

Payroll Duties:

• Process payroll for approximately 13,000 employees weekly for PPP and CEC U.S. and Canadian locations.


• Collaborate with Supervisor to review, research and resolve time and attendance interface issues before payroll is processed.


• Verify payments and prepare checks for distribution.


• Assist daily by mailing out on demand checks ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the employee.


• Communicate and assist stores on manually entering missed punches for employees as needed.


• Notify the Payroll Supervisor and Manager of any unusual or suspicious activity.


• Assist in managing the payroll email box and hotline with prompt and professional responses.


• Assist with special projects accurately and within allocated deadlines as needed.

The successful candidate will have the following required skills and experience:

• Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in an office environment working as part of a team in an open office environment. Large employer multi-state payroll experience required.


• Knowledge of: Workday, ADP (Work Force Now), Aloha Insight, NBO time and attendance interfaces and Wisely Pay-cards (all states) a plus.


• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. CPP or FPC a plus.


• Technical Skills: MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and various other technical accounting programs. Data entry experience.


• Confidentiality: Maintain an elevated level of privacy and confidentiality for our employees.

Physical Demands

To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8-hour day, with some overtime.
