The Payroll Lead utilizes extensive payroll expertise, understanding industry practices and organizational policies to address highly complex issues involving data analysis and variable factors. The role involves interaction with senior internal and external personnel, with assignments given in the form of objectives, requiring resource management to meet schedules and goals. The Payroll Lead identifies risks, responds appropriately, and serves as a departmental lead, subject matter expert, or project manager. Responsibilities include recommending updates to business processes and procedures, and selecting methods and techniques for problem-solving. The role involves utilizing contacts within the payroll office, across the organization, and the UC System.
This position reports to the Payroll Director. The full salary range is $61,000 - $106,800 annually; the expected pay scale is $61,000 - $95,350, based on experience and qualifications.
