Mohegan Pennsylvania is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to compile and analyze payroll data, ensure accurate salaries, wages, and garnishments, and maintain tips reporting. The role supports timely processing and collaboration with departments to verify hours and collections.

The position emphasizes accuracy, adherence to casino regulatory rules, and delivering superior guest service while assisting with basic journal entries and account analysis in a busy casino environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with data entry and automated payroll systems.
• Prior experience in casino collections or credit preferred.
• One-year clerical experience in accounting operations preferred.
• Experience with spreadsheet software and basic computer skills.
• Duties may expand with business needs or demands.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and analyzes payroll data for salaries, wages, and garnishments.
• Verifies and maintains reported tips data.
• Compiles statistical payroll reports and payroll data entries.
• Works with payroll system to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Reviews labor hours submitted by departments.
• Contacts patrons to collect moneys due for returns, related to collections.
• Complies with casino rules, regulations and internal controls relating to collections.
• Communicates with attorneys regarding disposition of patron accounts as needed.
• Maintains reports on collection figures.
• Assists Staff Accountants with basic journal entries and account analysis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Promotes superior guest service.
