Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.

• Manage payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or other supported payroll platforms.
• Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, wages, benefits, and deductions across time & attendance systems.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for general ledger accounting, ensuring alignment with financial records.
• Maintain compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll tax requirements by staying updated on legal changes.
• Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while processing payroll and benefits administration.
• Collaborate with HRIS systems to update employee records and assist in benefits administration processes.
• Perform account reconciliation, analyze payroll data for discrepancies, and support audits related to payroll management.

• Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills; experience with double entry bookkeeping is a plus.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and governmental accounting standards.
• Excellent analysis skills to identify discrepancies or issues within payroll data; strong attention to detail is essential.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and explaining complex payroll information clearly.
