Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a Payroll Analyst to perform limited fiscal and contractual audits of payroll records across county departments and grants, and to assist in preparing reports.

The role involves analyzing budgets, expenditures, and revenues; reviewing payroll transactions for compliance with policies, contracts, state and federal laws; providing payroll information to departments; and assisting with interim and annual statement preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Valid Texas driver''s license with good driving record and 10-year history check.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll budgets, expenditures, and revenues and initiate adjustments.
• Review and audit payroll transactions for compliance with policies and laws.
• Provide payroll information to departments and assist with reports.
• Perform account reconciliations and support audit findings.
• Assist Payroll staff and perform other duties as assigned.
