Job summary

ILJIN America in Greer, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support biweekly and monthly payroll processing at our automotive parts manufacturing facility. The primary responsibilities include reviewing and verifying employee timecards, resolving timekeeping discrepancies, entering new employees into payroll and timekeeping systems, maintaining payroll data, and organizing payroll-related documentation.

Previous payroll experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred.
• Willingness to learn payroll/timekeeping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify missing punches, incorrect hours, and other timekeeping discrepancies.
• Communicate with employees and supervisors to resolve timecard issues.
• Enter new employees into payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Update employee information, pay rates, deductions, departments, shifts, and employment status.
• Assist with biweekly and monthly payroll processing.
