Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support remote payroll operations across multiple locations in the US. You will audit processes, assist with bi-weekly payroll and respond to questions from field personnel to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires strong payroll knowledge, vendor experience, and proficiency in MS Office; associates degree preferred. This position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a national provider.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years payroll processing for multiple entities and 5,000+ employees, or 5+ years total with benefits or HRIS.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll principles, tax, garnishments and compliance.
  • Experience delivering customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Experience with outside vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel skills including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal audits of payroll, HR-OPS and Benefits; coordinate with vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Explain complex payroll policy issues and authorize exceptions within defined limits.
  • Develop and document new procedures; update manuals and payroll policies.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and lead process-improvement projects.
  • Research and advise on complex payroll, benefits and HR inquiries; ensure timely responses.

Serves as subject matter expert, provides guidance and sound judgment to payroll team regarding payroll process changes. Responsible for providing excellent customer service by answering payroll questions from the field and meeting all deadlines. Refers to company policies and other tools to research and ensure the questions are answered correctly and timely. Assists in bi-weekly payroll processing and special projects as needed. Expected to maintain confidentiality of all material handled.**Job Description:** **Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)*** Perform internal audits of various areas including, but not limited to Payroll, HR-OPS and Benefits.* Works with vendors to ensure requested tasks are completed accurately and timely. Escalates appropriately when needed.* Analyze and respond to complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures; authorizes exceptions to the policy within defined limits.* Participate in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations; coordinate approved changes within payroll system; updates impacted policy/procedure manuals.* Conduct root-cause analysis as needed. Spearhead process improvement projects/streamlining initiatives to create efficiencies throughout the department.* Research and advise co-workers and management concerning complex issues regarding Payroll, Benefits and HR.* Research and interpret a variety of complex technical information in response to inquiries.* Accomplish goals with minimal supervision and escalates issues to management. Depends on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.* Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external parties by answering accurately and timely.* Refers to appropriate company polices and State/Federal guidelines to ensure compliance and creditability.* Focuses on building trusted business partnerships with counterparts and key stakeholders.### Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities? (i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.)No**Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements*** High School Diploma/GED* At least 3 year of experience in processing payroll containing multiple entities and over 5,000 employees.* Or, a combination of relevant experience in Benefits or HRIS and Payroll with the minimum of 5 years total (with employee population over 5,000) may be acceptable.**Basic Qualifications*** Working knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations and procedures including, but not limited to tax, garnishment and compliance.* Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.* Experience communicating both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, etc.) and in writing (emails, letters, etc.) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, etc.).* Prior experience with outside vendors.* Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.* Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (for example: vlook-up, formulas, pivot tables, graphs and charts, formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering, etc.) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).* Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.**Travel Requirements: (if required)**N/A**Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)*** Associates degree* FPC or CPP Certification*This job description is to be used as a guide for accomplishing Company and department objectives, and only covers the primary functions and responsibilities of the position.
