Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $34.00/hr

Location: near West Hollywood, CA - on-site role

Salary: $30-$34 / hour (depending upon experience level)

Position Overview:

Our Entertainment client is seeking a motivated and proactive Payroll Analyst to join the Accounting team. You will be responsible for maintaining and processing payroll for a multi-state environment while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and benefit calculations.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Leverage spreadsheet tools to organize schedules, reconcile payroll data, and prepare workforce reports.
  • Oversee employee benefits-related deductions, retirement plan contributions, and flexible spending withholdings.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll-related audits by compiling schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Record payroll journal entries, reconcile accounts, and manage wage garnishments and other adjustments.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state labor regulations, including wage and hour requirements and payroll impacts of employee terminations.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
  • 3+ years of payroll experience within a multi-state environment.
  • Expertise in ADP WFN and solid Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of 403(b) plans and payroll-related audits.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and communication skills.
