Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Payroll Analyst to partner with associates and leaders, ensuring accurate, compliant payroll administration and timely responses to inquiries. You will help improve processes, maintain system data integrity, and support HR and Finance teams across the organization.

The role requires CPP and FPC, multi-state payroll familiarity, strong Excel skills, and hands-on Workday experience; travel to client or corporate locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a combination of education and relevant experience is considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience in a team-based environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll Administration.
  • Experience processing payroll for organizations with 2,500+ employees across multiple states.
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax filings and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Workday report writing and payroll-related reporting.
  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation, including AI for process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and quantify opportunities to drive efficiencies, automate processes, and update standard procedures, integrating these practices into day‑to‑day payroll administration.
  • Interpret HR and Finance policy and procedure in accordance with employment law and company culture.
  • Prioritize requests and respond in a timely manner, ensuring issues and concerns are handled accurately and respectfully.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements for payroll systems in collaboration with HR and Finance.
  • Provide information and support training to associates and leaders related to employee payroll, demonstrating a thorough understanding of available processes.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations, including confidentiality rules.
  • Meet deadlines required to issue pay to employees based on published and ad‑hoc pay dates.
